U.S. District Judge Terry R. Means said in his ruling that Clayton Smith and John Schwertz Jr., who attend TCC Northeast Campus in Hurst, can wear empty gun holsters [...] Laws that make it difficult for Americans to own or possess guns aid criminals by making it harder for law abiding citizens to have access to the weapons, a judge said Friday. “The criminals who are carrying guns aren’t following the registration laws to begin with,” 3rd District Court of Appeals Judge John Willamowski said [...] When soldiers tried to halt a suspicious-looking SUV that was being escorted through Monterrey by a state policeman, the officer radioed for backup.
